About me

My name is Dragos-Tudor Acostachioaie and I am a Linux system and applications programmer, system administrator at Biosfarm, in Iasi, Romania.

I am a supporter of UNIX operating systems, working mainly with Linux and FreeBSD. I strongly believe in open source phenomena. I have contributed over the years to the Linux kernel and to several open source projects. You cand find out more details in the Projects section.

I wrote six books and several papers about the Linux and FreeBSD operating systems. For more details, please consult the Publications section.

I teach the Linux systems administration course at The Faculty of Computer Science, "Al.I.Cuza" University of Iasi, Romania.

I am the executive editor of the Linux series of books published by the Polirom Publishing House. I am member of the steering committee and co-organizer of Linux and Virtual Learning Environments symposium.
